Hey y'all, I'm Lizzie! I'm your local k-pop fangirl/retro fashion enjoyer/general oddball/former (temporary) Londoner! Here's the 411 on me!

Basics:

• Name: Elizabeth, but people call me Lizzie (No, I'm not telling y'all my last name...)
• Gender: (Trans) Female
• Orientation: Straight (and happily taken! :D)
• Languages: English, some French, (I used to be fluent but nowadays I'm just semi-fluent) a little Latin, (I can read it a little, can barely write it and could never speak it.) and a tiny bit of Korean (mostly osmosis from listening to K-pop), plus I'm going to start Japanese classes in the fall
• Religion: Christian
• MBTI: INTJ
• Dream role: Elle Woods in Legally Blonde: The Musical
• Job: Local grocery store cashier in the summers (click here for more info!)
• Sign: Road work ahead (uh, yeah, I sure hope it does!)

Interests:

• Hobbies: K-pop, fashion (I'm a thriftaholic), making this Web-site, surfing the Net, collecting iPods/vintage Apple tech (post-Steve Jobs return), writing my novel, reading when I have the motivation, gaming ditto, occasionally family history


• Music: K-pop (Mainly Verivery and Girls' Generation, plus The Wind, TWS, fromis_9, Yena, KickFlip, Golden Child and many more, including a lot of 1st-gen and especially 2nd-gen in general); some country (Carrie Underwood pre-MAGA); pop rock/pop punk (Jordan Sweeto, early 5 Seconds of Summer, a bit of All Time Low); and some western pop from the 80s-early 10s (M2M, the Backstreet Boys, early Taylor Swift, and more). If you hadn't guessed, I'm kind of a sucker for boy bands! I talk about my favourite music more on my Music and Faves pages.


• TV: My favourite TV show at the moment has to be Dance Moms! Especially seasons 1-4. (Christi is probably my favourite mom!) Beyond that, I adore sitcoms from the 80s through the early-mid 00s: The Office and The Golden Girls are probably my favourite, up there with The Nanny, Designing Women and Gilmore Girls. I also like some k-pop variety shows, like Verivery's Chaotic Verivery Land and Girls' Generation's Soshi Tam Tam.


• Movies: I tend to prefer "older" movies, such as The Princess Diaries and its sequel, The Lizzie McGuire Movie (potentially my favourite of all time), Clue, the Sister Act movies, and Meet Me In St. Louis. More recently, I liked the new Naked Gun---and not just because it was my first date with my now boyfriend! :) I really like Legally Blonde, but the musical version is leagues better for me.


• YouTube: I tend to like a lot of technology content (preferably more history-oriented; I've heard enough shilling for all that AR/VR/AI crap, thank you very much) and mystery YouTubers, like OSFirstTimer, How To Cook That, Nexpo, The Science Elf, Wendigoon, Sam O'Nella, Explore With Us, 91Tech, Dankpods, Joanna Stern and more. I also like k-pop content, like Verivery's vlogs and Ploopy678's video essays, and I'm always up for a 2012-style vlog!


• Games: I only occasionally game, but when I do I like Splatoon, Stardew Valley, Minecraft, Mario games, Pokémon and the occasional non-Pokémon RPG (my favourite is Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch). • Books: My favourite book used to be Jane Eyre, but I don't know if it's my absolute favourite anymore. I do like quite a few "classic" novels, though! Elizabeth Gaskell and Jane Austen are my other favourite classical authors, and I also adore Georgette Heyer and Anthony Trollope. (Yes, all dead British people. I love Victorian/similar prose and plots, what can I say?) I also love a good mystery, and my favourite mystery series is Her Majesty The Queen Investigates.. I've also read the All Creatures Great and Small series and loved them all! In terms of more contemporary books, I adore The Confessions of Georgia Nicolson and similar 2000s contemporary British books with female protagonists. So basically, in a nutshell, I love British books!!


• Other miscellaneous interests: the old Web (especially the aesthetic), Neocities in particular, writing (specifically romance), and a bit of Canadian and British history. And I'm a longtime Anglophile, which is particularly exciting as I recent got to spend a whole SEMESTER ABROAD IN LONDON!
