About This Site
So, you want to learn more about my site? Well, here's a brief history of me creating this site, as well as my reason for creating it! I explain much of this more in-depth on my page titled "A History of my Web-Weaving", linked below. There are more pages about this site linked below as well.
In January of 2021, after having a string of sites which I'd worked on and then abandoned eventually, I decided to start working on this site, which I'd signed up for about a year before. I posted my first update (pictured here) saying that I'd "revamped the site" (i.e. gotten rid of the default placeholder page) on January 3rd. From the start, this site was more ambitious: I had a background image! All joking aside, since 2018, my HTML had improved and I had gained more hobbies outside of just putzing around on Twitter, YouTube and Wattpad. I made pages for my favourite hobbies and interests, and the site grew from there!
I think the #1 thing that's maintained my interest in this site over all these years (almost three/four as I write this, depending on where you start counting) is the blog---it's a quick, easy thing to make that keeps me updating my site even if I don't have ideas, which, in turn, keeps my site on my mind and gives me ideas. I also think the community has helped! Getting to join forums and surf through other people's sites has been such an amazing experience, as has seeing all the comments y'all have left on my guestbook, which lets me actually know people read my site! I've even met some cool pen pals because of my site and this community.
And all of this has allowed my site to evolve into what it is today. I'm not going to say that my site is "always under construction" (let's face it, whose isn't?), but I will say that this site is always evolving and especially growing. I've honestly worried sometimes that my site was "too big" and that I had too many pages, but these days, I see that as a strength---it better represents me! I have pages about nearly everything I'm interested in, so I encourage all you to click around and see if there's something to your liking! I've poured a lot of time and thought, and I hope a good deal of heart above all, into this site, so I hope y'all like it and that y'all can get a sense of who I am, what things I like and why I think those things are so cool. :)
